ACCESS TO VENUES

All venues have stewards who will be happy to help with wheelchairs or pushchairs. Please inform a steward if your disability requires a seat with extra leg-room. When booking tickets, please inform the Box Office that you are a wheelchair user so our stewards are ready to assist you.

DISABLED ACCESS

The Appledore Book Festival welcomes everyone and is keen to help those with disabilities. If you have any queries please contact the Appledore Book Festival Box Office at Docton Court Gallery on 01237 424 949.  If you require a chaperone and are registered disabled, Appledore Book Festival will donate a chaperone ticket free of charge to enable you to enjoy the event.

Fully accessible. Stewards will be happy to help disabled visitors. If you have a back problem you are welcome to bring your own cushion.

ST MARY’S HALL, Churchfields Rd, Appledore EX39 1RL

There is a small flight of steps up to the front entrance of the hall. Wheelchair users will need to use the rear entrance, and will require the assistance of a steward.

APPLEDORE COMMUNITY HALL, 1 New Quay St, Appledore, Bideford EX39 1LU

Wheelchair users please use the entrance in the yard at the side of the building. The rest of the venue is on one level.

BAPTIST CHAPEL, Meeting Street, Appledore EX39 1RJ

Is fully accessible for wheelchair users.

BLUE LIGHTS HALL, Vernons Lane, Appledore EX39 1QU

Wheelchair users can access the hall through the side door.

APPLEDORE LIBRARY, The Quay, Appledore, Bideford EX39 1QS

The room above the library is up a steep flight of stairs, and is unsuitable for wheelchair-users.
