At the age of seventeen, after a childhood in a foster family and six years in care homes, Norman Greenwood was given his birth certificate. Norman was not his real name, it was Lemn Sissay. Lemn Sissay (MBE) is one of Britain’s best loved, award-winning poets and performers.
