Much-loved storymaker Michael Morpurgo returns to Appledore to discuss his two new stunning wartime novels Flamingo Boy and In The Mouth of the Wolf. Inspired by his autistic grandson, Flamingo Boy looks at those in society who were treated as outsiders in occupied France in the Second World War. Also inspired by a true story, In The Mouth of the Wolf tells the story of Michael's uncle who was a Special Forces executive in the Second World War. Michael will be interviewed by Festival Patron, Jeremy Vine.
