Children
We were very excited about the introduction of our Family Day on Sunday 25th September 2011, when we had 10 events just for children and a special workshop for aspiring writers of children’s literature. In addition to these planned events, children loved the relaxed atmosphere of Appledore – with its narrow passages and traffic-free lanes. Most of the pubs and restaurants cater for children, we have a great playground and skate park for running off all that excess energy. There is crabbing on the quayside at high tide and rock-pooling down by the lifeboat station at low tide. It’s more Famous Five than Disneyland but great fun all the same.
